Eric Shulgin could have been a grumpy old man amongst others, with something more : He has telepathic powers. A power which he only uses to make a living by "cheating" at Poker tables.

In Paris, during the presidential elections, Eric is surprised to see Anne in his flat one day. She's his ex-wife... and one of the candidates in the election. She knows about her powers, and blackmails him to make him investigate a robbery in one of her storage units. She's certain that another telepath is the culprit, Eric is absolutely not, but he has no choice.

With the help of Lena, Anne's chief of security and daughter, Eric soon discovers that this investigation is intimately connected to the dark past he's done everything to bury deep inside his mind.
