The author in its natural habitat

(He tends to smile sometimes)

Born on October 12th of 1990 in France, little Rémi grows up surrounded by his Lego collection which he uses to tell stories until time comes to watch his favorites cartoons while gulping down two boxes of chocolate biscuits. Since a very young age, he’s passionate after superheroes stories -Batman being his hero- and he spent his time watching that kind of stuff. Growing up, he broadens his tastes to Fantasy and, most of all, Science-Fiction.

Imaginary worlds fascinate him, and time travel is his obsession.

As a teenager, he finally goes out in the world and tries making it in music. He joins a band and plays bass (badly), sometimes sings (horribly) and writes lyrics (kinda well, actually, but I’m biased). Beyond that, he writes, directs, edits and sometimes acts in podcasts when it was new. We won’t talk about the quality of these things but it’s a first step in fiction writing and the Art of storytelling, before he even realised he wanted to become a writer.

After graduation, he enlists in the Paris 8 Saint-Denis University to study Cinema and directs his first short film Charogne, an experience which makes him realise he much prefers to sit at a desk than being on set. Writing is his thing, directing is other people’s thing. After University, he enlists in the Ecole de la Cité, created by French director Luc Besson. During these two years, he refines his writing and meets people with whom he still works with to this day, such as Constance GUIRLET, who directed Kitty Kat, a horrific fairy tale mixing Alchemy and Oedipus Complex.

After the Ecole, he co-writes two episodes for the TV show Foha Tau, created by its director Anthony TAITUSI, first wallisian TV show, broadcasted on France Television’s overseas channels as well as France Ô. Meanwhile and since, he works on personal projects, short movies, long features and TV shows.

Rémi has taken a habit of writing with other writers, be it on projects they’ve created together or their own, and writes for television, such as the Petits Secrets En Famille show, for which he’s written five episodes in 2020 and 2021.

In 2019, he’s one of five final candidates of the Genre long-feature projects contest Grand Prix Climax with his project Psychonautes. In 2020, he’s one of the five again with Pay Per View.

In Autumn 2020, his project Killswitch is one of seven projects to be examined by the CNC, the French governmental agency which selects promising projects to fund.

In 2021, he enlists in the French Screenwriters Guild and takes up multiple trainings in an effort to sharpen his skills.
